While Dixie Belle Paint requires no advanced preparation for most wood pieces, some pieces may have issues that necessitate some sort of pre-treatment. For pieces that have an odor, stains, or pieces that that may show bleed thru, BOSS is the solution.
Available in Clear, White and Gray (8 oz, 16 oz & 32 oz):
• Clear: Best to use if you need to distressed the paint afterwards to see the wood underneath.
• White: Best to use with dark dark wood, and if no distressing is needed. Especially good for light colors, like whites and beiges.
• Gray: Best to use if you are going to paint over it with a dark color. Keeps the color vibrant without changing it.
Step 1 ======
Clean your piece with White Lightning, or any other product that will help eliminate dust and dirtiness from your piece.
Step 2 ======
Apply BOSS and allow to dry for about 1 hour, depending on humidity.
Step 3 ======
Apply a second coat of BOSS and allow to dry for about 1 hour.
